The dance of progesterone and estrogen balance in a woman’s body is very important. Progesterone acts to balance excess estrogen thus preventing estrogen from becoming harmful to health, a condition known as estrogen dominance. At different times in the like of a women, hormonal imbalance can result in symptoms of PMS, perimenopause, or menopause. Symptoms of progesterone imbalance include moodiness, hot flashes, night sweats, depression, weight gain, bloating, and breast tenderness.
